Compare the 2019 Ridgeline & the 2018 Tacoma

As you can see from the chart above the standard engine of the 2019 Honda Ridgeline vastly outperforms the standard engine of the 2018 Toyota Tacoma in terms of horsepower, torque, and on-highway fuel economy. The 2018 Tacoma does offer an upgrade to its standard engine while the 2019 Honda Ridgeline does not. The optional engine of the 2018 Toyota Tacoma is a 3.5L V6 that supplies it with 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque, or about the same as the 2019 Ridgeline, but only averages 17 MPG City/ 20 MPG HWY which is significantly less than the 2019 Ridgeline provides.

The 2019 Honda Ridgeline has standard seating for five people while the 2018 Tacoma only has standard seating for four. The 2018 Toyota Tacoma also offers a double cab to expand seating to five passengers but the 2019 Ridgeline still provides more overall passenger space than the 2018 Tacoma does.
