2018 Honda Accord MPG Ratings
The latest version of the Honda Accord will offer two new engine options. These turbocharged engines can be paired with multiple transmission options. The 2018 Honda Accord MPG ratings will depend on the engine and transmission combination that is selected.
2018 Accord Engine and Transmission Options
Two engine options will be offered on the 2018 Accord. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
The 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). When equipped with the manual transmission, the engine will earn an estimated 26 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highways for 30 miles per gallon combined. Choosing the CVT transmission and the 1.5-liter engine results in fuel-economy ratings estimated at up to 30 miles per gallon in the city and 38 miles per gallon on the highways for 33 miles per gallon combined.*
The Accord’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings for the 2.0-liter engine are not currently available. Honda is anticipating fuel economy ratings estimated at up to 23 miles per gallon in the city and 34 miles per gallon on the highways, but these numbers are targets only and not official EPA ratings.
